A sunroof or moonroof panel is the transparent or opaque sliding section of the roof that can be opened to ventilate the cabin or closed for weather protection. Most modern vehicles use a glass panel that slides back into a channel above the headliner. The panel is operated by an electric motor and controlled from inside the vehicle.
